12. Made-to-order products (STARS Boots)

Some products offered on the store, including STARS Boots, are made to order (made to order). In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to these products.

  • No returns or exchanges are possible in the event of a sizing mistake, selection error or change of mind by the Customer.
  • Exception only in case of a manufacturing defect or if the wrong item / wrong size was sent.
  • The Customer must contact customer service by email within 14 days of receipt, stating the order number and providing evidence of the defect or error.

After verification, an appropriate solution may be proposed on a case-by-case basis.

13. Liability & force majeure

We cannot be held liable for non-performance or improper performance attributable to the Customer, to an unforeseeable and unavoidable act of a third party, or to a case of force majeure. In any event, our liability is limited to the amount of the disputed order for direct damages, excluding indirect damages.

14. International sales

For international deliveries (including outside the European Union), customs duties, local VAT/GST, import taxes or other fees may be required from the Customer upon delivery (in addition to the payment made on the Store), by the customs authorities of the destination country and/or by the carrier or postal service (which may advance customs fees and then invoice the Customer) at the time of delivery.

In most cases, the carrier contacts the Customer (SMS, email or payment link) once the parcel arrives in customs, to pay these fees before delivery, or at the time of delivery (depending on the carrier).

Such potential fees are borne by the Customer. These fees are independent of the Store and are determined by local authorities and carriers. Some parcels may pass without being subject to them. The cost varies depending on the type of product, the order amount and the applicable rate in the destination country.

The Store has no control over these additional fees and cannot be held responsible for them. The Customer is also responsible for ensuring the Products comply with the local laws of the delivery country.

If the Customer refuses to pay, the carrier returns the parcel. The refund will only be processed after the parcel is effectively returned, and after deduction of the applicable fees (return shipping, customs, etc.). Upon receipt of the returned parcel, the Customer is refunded the order amount minus return costs and any customs fees.

Our accounting department processes refunds on Mondays: the Customer is then notified by email that the refund has been issued. The refunded amount typically appears within 5 business days (depending on banking services and payment processors) on the payment method used.

In the event of import restrictions, we cannot be held responsible for a customs hold.

15. Intellectual property

All texts, logos, brands, visuals and content on the Site are protected. Any unauthorized reproduction or use is prohibited. The rights granted to the user are limited to personal use of the Site and the Products.

16. Personal data & cookies (reference)

The processing of your data and the management of cookies/trackers are described in our "Privacy & Cookies" page.

17. Hosting & Shopify solutions

The Site is hosted and operated using Shopify solutions: Shopify International Limited, 2nd Floor, 1-2 Victoria Buildings, Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland.

18. Mediation & dispute resolution

In the event of difficulty, the Customer must first contact customer service at: hello@giorgiochic.com.

If the written complaint does not lead to a solution within 30 days, the Customer may resort free of charge to an approved consumer mediator, in accordance with Article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code.

Giorgio’Chic will designate the competent mediator at the time of the request, in accordance with applicable regulations.

The Customer remains free to use any other alternative dispute resolution method (conciliation, for example).

Note: the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was closed by the European Commission on 20/07/2025 and is no longer available.

19. Applicable law & jurisdiction

These terms are governed by French law. Consumers residing abroad also benefit from the mandatory provisions of their local law. Failing an amicable agreement via mediation, the competent French courts will be seized in accordance with common law rules.

20. Changes to these GTC/GTU

We may update these terms to reflect legal or technical changes. The version applicable is the one online on the day of the order and can be consulted at any time.
